| Plot |
| Bridge to Terabithia is a wonderful story of two pre-teen kids who become friends and create an imaginary world where they can escape social and family pressure. Leslie (Anna Sophia Robb) teaches Jess Aarons (Josh Hutcherson) how to use his imagination and artistic skills to create a wonderland adventure place in the woods. Jess becomes a friend to a lonely, outcast Leslie who has difficulty fitting in at school. Leslie is a bright spot in Jess' otherwise grey and dreary life, where he is the only boy among his siblings. Jess' family is poor and is having difficulty making ends meet which causes family tensions that affect the relationship between Jess and his father. As the film progresses, the bond between Leslie and Jess gets stronger and Jess truly comes to understand the value of a friendship. |
