| When writer Roberta 'Bobbi' Anderson (Marg Helgenberger) takes her dog for a walk in the woods while trying to work through her writer's block, she stumbles across something buried. She first thought it to be small, but it turns out to be big--and deadly. It captures the town in a way they couldn’t begin to understand, and soon they have one mission in mind, to dig it up. Amongst the craziness, Bobbi's poet boyfriend Jim (Jimmy Smits) returns to find everyone around him changed. Ingenious inventions are popping up everywhere and no one to explain how they work, even the inventors. The only one able to resist the power, he struggles with himself to save the town before it's too late. |
